The class invitation will be to move meditatively through a series of Hatha Yoga postures, enabling the physical body to tone and strengthen. The gentle stretching and relaxation of the body, together with nurturing breath, allows vital energy to flow through its systems.
 

The invitation is to develop awareness, and the ability to respond to internal cues, which will guide you to move in a way that is respectful of you as a unique individual. There is no competition or expectation, just a beckoning for you to journey within to a deeper level.

Each class is approached as a complete practice in itself and you will experience the effects of chanting, physical poses (the asanas); a guided deep relaxation (yoga nidra); breathing exercises (pranayama) and a brief meditation. When combined these bring about harmony, unity and balance to the mind, body and spirit.  Moving into quietude and finding inner peace leads you to the depth and beauty of stillness; and gratitude for the present moment.

I am a qualified Wise Earth Ayurveda Food, Breath and Sound Practitioner.

Ayurveda is the ancient Indian science of preventative health and healing and is also a philosophy of living.  I enjoy  immersing myself in Ayurvedic principles as its teachings re-establish balance with the systems of the body and recognise the natural laws of life and nature.    I undertake a sadhana practice that brings an appreciation of daily living and moment to moment awareness in everyday activities.   

Ayurveda is the sister science of Yoga. In September 2018, after having a dedicated yoga practice for a number of years,  I trained with Integral Yoga becoming qualified to teach.
