FUN-ctional Wellbeing provides practical and useful tools for you to create long lasting healthy habits while keeping the emphasis on FUN! 
 
Each session will include a movement practice although, this is not your typical bootcamp style workout. The foundation sessions will focus on understanding the importance of correct form, posture & breathing techniques. This allows you to get the most out of your movement routine, and prevent the risk of injury. 
 
Some sessions we may do a quick, but effective workout that you can practice at home with minimum to no equipment. Other weeks may include a movement challenge, learning a new skill, or even dancing, either way we will have fun with it! 
 
The sessions will also cover topics such as simplifying nutrition & fitness, improving sleep, quick healthy meals and snacks, healthy eating on a budget, learning to accept and appreciate your body, creating a self-care plan that works for you, balancing stress, how to get the kids on board! and more, so that you can simplify & enjoy your wellness journey.
 
An option to practice a new habit will be given every two weeks, for you to develop new skills & remain consistent even in the midst of a normal, complicated, “how it really is” sort of life!” 
 
You will also be invited to a private Facebook group where we encourage and support each other.
 
FUN-ctional Wellbeing will be held on the 2nd & 4th Friday of the month from 11:15am12:15pm at the cost of £4:50 per session  from November.
 
*FREE DURING SEPTEMBER & OCTOBER* 
 
This will be a body positive environment with the focus on feeling awesome. EveryBODY is welcome.

Hi, I’m Maria, a Body Image Movement Global Ambassador,  Personal Trainer & Precision Nutrition Coach.
 
My exercise journey started 26 years ago when fitness videos started. Yes, I’m talking when VHS tapes were a thing! 
 
My relationship with food/fitness has been a tricky one. I struggled to find balance and spent years trying to fit into society’s unrealistic standards of the ‘perfect body’ 
 
Thankfully I’m now in a place where I appreciate my body, show myself compassion, and no longer allow the scales, or size of my clothes to measure my self worth. 
 
Being a busy mum I know how difficult it can be to find time to take care of yourself. This is why I want to simplify fitness and nutrition, so that you can feel your best-self without having to spend hours at a gym, count calories, or weigh & measure food every day.
 
 
Exercise should not be a punishment for the food we eat, and we don’t need to suffer through routines we hate. Moving your body can and should be fun, it should enable us to feel good about ourselves, move better so we can complete daily tasks with ease, and live life to the fullest. 
 
By learning to eat intuitively, and seek new ways to move & play with fitness, I have been able to build a healthy relationship with my body and remain consistent in my movement practice, even when life gets extra busy. I’ve learned how to ditch the guilt when things don’t go to plan; I’m not a fan of the “no excuses” or “no pain no gain” clubs! 
 
I want to share how I learned what being healthy means for me, and help you to shape your own path to wellness; mentally, physically and emotionally. 
 
FUN-ctional Wellbeing is all about providing you with useful and practical tools, while keeping the emphasis on FUN. It is a body positive environment with the focus on feeling awesome: everyBODY is welcome.
